The Craze About Indian Weddings !!! Part -2 Wedding Dressing Style

As mentioned in my earlier post Indian Wedding Dressing Style is very elaborate and accessorized with heavy jewellery. Given below are the styles of the Bride and the Bridegroom :-

                                                                 1. Lehenga Choli

Lehenga Choli is a heavily embroidered blouse top and skirt in gold and comes in designer wear as well as hand made. Red being the common colour as its auspicious but now a days brides choose pink, blue and white as well. Makes the bride look like a beautiful Indian Princess.

2. The Traditional Saree

In South Indian Weddings the traditional Saree is the wedding dress it is a heavily embroidered two to nine yard drape with cream/gold or red blouse. Red or Cream Gold are officially worn by the bride adorned with lots of gold jewelleries. Gold is considered auspicious in south indian weddings and is the bridal gift for the bride.

3. Sherwani For Men

Men wear Sherwani which is a long coat like garment that originated from the royal times when nobles used to wear it to the princely court. This tradition has followed and men adorn this outfit on their wedding day to feel and look like a handsome prince.
