Indian Belle at Cannes : Sonam Kapoor

There have been quite a few Diva's Wowing at the Cannes this year and one of them is definitely The Official Indian Beauty, Ambassador of International Brand L'Oreal and a Fashionista in her own right: Sonam Kapoor.

 1. First Look at Cannes 2014

Sonam Kapoor, who is also representing international brand L'Oreal, walked the red carpet for the screening of The Homesman at the 67th international film festival . She wore a black Elie Saab vintage gown on her first red carpet appearance this year, she looked great with a faux bob. Chopard earrings and red lip colour finished her look and must say the beautiful actress looked just stunning.

2. Second Look at Cannes 2014

Every year the Indian beauty wear's one outfit from an Indian Designer to promote their creation and this year Sonam Kapoor turned into an elegant desi belle in her favourite designer Anamika Khanna's couture net sari gown. She left her hair open this time and without earrings, a huge choker designed by her mother Sunita Kapoor. The Jimmy choo shoes and the Ferragamo clutch went perfectly with the entire look. She was attending the premiere of in-competition film Foxcatcher.
I loved this outfit its a beautiful blend of the traditional saree and western gown and the royal looking jewellery fits in just perfect.

 3. Third Look at Cannes 2014

Later for the Chopard backstage party at Cannes which was also her final appearance this year, She wore a lilac chiffon strapless Elie Saab Couture gown. She finished off her look with a tight pony, Chopard necklace and Ferragamo clutch.

Our desi diva does it again! Sonam Kapoor proves it, why she is the only Indian who can be potential global fashion icon!

LiveWire on the Red Carpet: Blake Lively

Her Retro Look @ Met Ball 2014
Well! Well! The world is lately worshipping a very Sexy Goddess and she is even worthy of it, no she isn't any royalty or true blood but the shutter bugs cant stop clicking as she is sashaying down the Red Carpet almost like making love to it. Her recent appearances at the Met Ball 2014 and The Cannes have wowed everyone Yes! Yes! Its Blake Lively !

She appears to be glowing after her marriage to the Hunk Ryan Reynolds, if you see her pictures its like she is thinking "Let's go and kill it on the red carpet". Lively is increasingly becoming known for her keen fashion sense rather than her acting career, and the past couple weeks have popularized this fact. Could it be the star is pulling a Victoria Beckham? Judging by Lively's personal style, there certainly wouldn't be any shortage of buyers if she decided to start her own fashion line. Looks like we have found our Carrie Bradshaw for real! Naturally, the face of L’Oréal Paris had an on-point beauty look as well.

I'm Obsessed are you ?

She did a fashion 180 and wore a Little Blue Dress to the launch of the new Gucci Fragrance campaign to support Chime for Change in New York City. The sleek baby blue leather mini had a bejewelled bib and leather collar.

That Leg Sure Got Some Attention!

Doe-Eyed Deepika Padukone's Limited Edition Van Heusen Collection- It Does'nt Merely Bask in the Sun it Celebrates It!

Deepika Padukone!-The Stunning long legged beauty has come a long way and conquered everyone's heart with her doe- eyed innocence and sheer grace with every performance. Not only a par excellence actress she is also a very vibrant and trendy fashionista and merging all these qualities she has created THE LIMITED VAN HEUSEN SUMMER -2014 COLLECTION!

What was her Inspiration?

Speaking of it she was inspired by the sunny and romantic locales of  The French Riviera, the fabric inspirations were luxury and comfort. As she puts in " I have tried to design a line that doesn't merely basks in the sun, but celebrates it ."

I love her collection its chic, vibrant, comfortable and modern. Perfect for daily as well as occasion wear.
You can view & shop her fabulous collection here:-

What is so cool about her ?

At the launch of her clothing line she had specially suggested to the brand that instead of making top models walk on the ramp they choose her fans from the different parts of the city.
The team then chose 10 female fans of Deepika from across the country.

Deepika spent time, interacted and groomed them. For this, Deepika has worked around her schedule, by shooting night to ensure she personally groomed these girls. In fact, Deepika was keen for them to get a taste of what it's like being a professional model. They underwent rehearsals, make up, grooming, trials and  everything else before they hit the ramp.

Since the ace actress herself believed in this idea, she took full responsibility of grooming the girls who would be walking the ramp for the very first time.

Said Deepika "I thought it would be interesting to pick girls who identify with the way I dress. We haven't selected them on the basis of their looks, height or whether they are experienced models. It was a random pick from the entries we had."

5 Things I Learnt From My Stylish and Beautiful Mom!

Hi Everyone! Howz your Mother's Day weekend ! I pampered my Mom a lot we went in for a Spa Day did some shopping together and I cooked a sumptuous dinner in the end to round off the day, it was fun! Mind you my Mom is so stylish and sexy that I envy her I don't often follow her style she is more haute couture n all and I'm more like a tom boy sans makeup and too much frill in everyday life but when I have to dress up and look my best I take fashion tips from her. Here are some of the awesome things I learnt from her:-

1. Wearing Sleeveless is Ok!

When I was a kid my Mom used to stitch pretty frocks frills, laces n ribbons and they were either with puffed up princess sleeves or sleeveless. And I hated sleeveless I used to feel that everyone would be staring at my arms maybe becoz I was a chubby little kid, but now I Love it and my summers are never complete without sleeveless shirts or tops paired with light coloured jeans.

2. Carry a Silk Scarf !

Its gorgeous, shiny, and delicate fabric that makes you feel like a million bucks the Silk Scarf is the ideal accessory to complete any look. This classic is perfect for any stylish occasion. And of course you can double it to use it as sun protection or simply style it around your neck indoors to make any boring outfit look trendy.

3. She Got me Addicted to Kajal !

Kajal or kohl is used to highlight the eyes. Applying kajal is very good for eyes because it cools down the eyes and when applied at night before going to bed, it cleanses the eyes by wiping out dirt.
It defines the shape of eyes & makes them more prominent & charming. I use Blue n Green coloured Kajal in summers to match my outfit style. This is the only piece of makeup I apply daily.

4. I Learnt to Love Lace !

I wanted all my dresses stitched in lace when I was small I loved it that much and still love it. Its delicate feminine and intricate. One of the greatest features of Lace is that it can be styled to look super sweet, by pairing soft and flowy silhouettes with delicate accessories ; or it can be styled to look edgy and sharp, by matching bolder cuts of fabric with heavy metal inspired accessories.
Go for a Lace dress or skirt in a classic cut and a neutral colour, and pair them with simple and understated accessories. If you choose a Lace skirt, a neutral blouse looks the most sophisticated. There is nothing more lady-like than a little white lacey dress. So pretty.

5.  She made Me Spa & Beauty Routine Freak !

Who doesn't love a lovely massage and get pampered ? I'm so addicted to it ! Aromatic oil massages or chocolate wraps I have done them all and talk about beauty routine I love apply sandlewood and turmeric paste before going for a bath. We have jars of orange peels crushed into powder and rose water, sandlewood powder, fuller's earth, crushed herbs, aromatic oils, bath salts etc etc, everything to have a perfect spa day at home. I got the habit of applying raw vegetable juices on the face when cooking in the kitchen, my mom always says that it makes the skin glow and remain supple.

Some things you learn to keep it with you through out your life and lessons learnt from Mom are always valuable! :) :)

The First Lady Michelle Obama graceful in an embellished Naeem Khan floral creation cut the ribbon while attending the grand opening of the Anna Wintour Costume Center at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday morning (May 5) in New York City.
The opening was held ahead of tonight’s annual Met Ball event. Speaking out on the occasion the First Lady announced that she along with Anna Wintour will be organizing a fashion workshop at the White House for students.
Twenty-six years after his death, the career of fashion designer Charles James is finally getting its due in this year's big Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute exhibit. Dozens of James's creations—intricately constructed gowns, coats and more—fill the Anna Wintour Costume Center and other galleries.
The show, Charles James: Beyond Fashion examines the British-born, New York-based artist's "use of sculptural, scientific, and mathematical approaches to construct revolutionary ball gowns and innovative tailoring that continue to influence designers today," as the museum puts it. Some of the dramatic ball gowns have videos showing their elaborately detailed tailoring and workmanship.

I'm a Happy Street Shopper !

"Let's go shopping" is one of my favourite phrase and yes I haven't left my teenage habit of Street Shopping on F.C.Road and Tulsi Baug ! It has stuck with me since my college days when I shopped on a string budget and wanted to look fabulous in college.

Tulsi Baug :-
If ever you get a chance to visit the serene city of Pune don't forget to visit Tulsi Baug the great ladies shopping market you can get plenty of latest ladies items here and mainly this is know for bargain, the more you bargain you are sure to get best deal. The most variety you get is for imitation jewellery,make-up kits, daily care products, kitchen utensils, linens, footwear, handbags, bindis, iron stands, crockery, gift articles & the hosiery products. One can spend hours strolling through the fashion lanes filled choc-a-block with fancy items and a myriad of colours and things to choose from.

F.C.Road :-
It gets its name from the famous 'Fergusson College'  the place I graduated from. I spent most of my teenage years shopping on this road and its a youngsters paradise.
Today is ever changing trend in fashion, its hard to beat the budget if u want to match up with the fashion trend. People nowadays go shopping every weekend and we still want to maintain your budget. Fergusson College Road Market is the best place for you. In this roadside shopping place in Pune you can find cloths, footwear, fashion accessories, home-decor items at cheap price. The main market starts near Goodluck Cafe and is spread on both side of road till Millennium Plaza.
Even on a quick stroll of this busy road one cannot help but notice the plethora of shops that have mushroomed here and are great stops to score some trendy casuals. One can even find a number of accessories here as well as a few shops that sell authentic traditional clothing. Take a quick look and you are guaranteed not to walk out without buying something.

What All can you Bargain For :-

1. Fancy Handbags

2. Fancy Watches

3. Footwear

4. Fancy Belts, Bangles, Bindis, Imitation Jewelleries, Nail Polish & Hair Clips

5. Clothes

If you are looking at funky products, fabulous bargains, or simple photo opportunities, Tulsi Baug and FC Road in Pune are a must try. Navigate your way through traffic, kids selling stickers and balloons, and other shoppers as you peruse the stalls. From branded items off the runways to dirt-cheap seasonal trends, its a fusion of traditional and modern styles. These shopping destinations in Pune attract a whole lot of young college crowd, looking out for inexpensive trendy items. The quality of the products picked up is questionable, but something worth Rs 300 that lasts for 3 months is something that most of us as shoppers can live with.
The people, the smells, the tastes, the organised chaos, the cacophony of sounds -- all of this combined makes for an enthralling shopping experience. There are two rules that we absolutely must not forget while street shopping: a) Don't buy in haste, there is ALWAYS a better deal waiting for you at the next store; b) Bargain.
Street shopping is an exciting experience, you never know what you might find. Every buy here has a story. Plan out a day of street shopping with your girls, and shop till you drop! End it on a relaxed note with wine and kebabs at the Greek-themed bistro.
