The Shockers N Stunners at the CFDA Awards 2014

The Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards, or CFDA Awards is the fashion industry's deserved recognition. And the 2014 CFDAs, which were held Monday night in New York City and hosted by the iconic John Waters, did not disappoint. Major names in the business, including Lupita Nyong'o, Blake Lively, Alexander Wang and of course, Ms. Anna Wintour, stepped out in pursuit and celebration of one thing -- great style.

From Pop Icon To Fashion Icon: Rihanna
Rihanna received the Fashion Icon Award, it was presented by editor of US Vogue, Anna Wintour, who said that with Rihanna ‘the point is to be audacious — even jaw-dropping or button-pushing’.a stunning shimmering Adam Selman fishnet dress with matching gloves and 1920s headscarf, studded with around 216,000 Swarovski crystals. She was the Eye Of the Shutter Bugs as she sparkled her way into the night making sure that everyone is going to remember it for a long time to come.

Blake Lively the Vintage Girl
Blake proved the golden girl again in this sequinned Michael Kors dress with scallop edge and Casadei pumps. The Alice band and relaxed 1960s-style hair really worked too. I love her style as it has a very vintage feel to it.

Singer Solange Knowles
She looked very demure in a shimmery Calvin Klein Dress.

Socialite Olivia Palermo
Olivia’s Ann Taylor jumper and skirt won’t set the world alight but the styling is perfect, from the gold cuff to those stunning shoes.

Oscar Darling Lupita Nyongo
Coordinating prints are huge this summer : scoop neck and flattering cropped trousers by Suno, along with the matchy matchy shoes.
