Cats Brothers as a brand was conceived by designers Anna Wilkinson and Lindsay McKean on a night out at a Mexican themed restaurant on the Day of the Dead when they decided to pay homage to dead rappers through knitwear. Their stand out collection takes pre-printed t-shirts that are then embroidered over, giving new life to those heavily-reproduced iconic images of Tupac, Biggie Smalls and MCA from the Beastie Boys. Other areas of the collection really show off skull crochet, sarape stripes and paisley beading running riot over bomber jackets, hooded sweatshirts, cropped tees and customised vintage denim pieces. Through the exposure by Browns Focus they have gained an international reputation and fan-base, the most flattering of which was spotting Jordan Dunn in one of our Tupac t-shirts in Beyonce's XO video!

Futuristic Jewellery with a Social Cause: ECOLORIUM by Elena Corchero for WoWcracy Endless Fashion Week

Stunning and beautiful ALBEDONITE Stones are the jewellery of the future, featuring as one of the finalists in The Wowcracy Endless Fashion Week these are designed by a very talented designer Elena Corchero.





Elena Corchero

Elena Corchero is a 'Technology Artisan' a term coined by her specialising in smart materials, electronics for wearables and new prototyping technologies. Her work has earned many international awards, exhibitions and publications. She studied Fine Arts in Spain, specialised in Interactive design in Germany, and is an alumni of MA Textile Futures at Central Saint Martins in London and a former MIT Media Lab Europe researcher.
In 2008 Elena founded her studio Lost Values in London to focus her work and research on the use of new technologies to challenge the role of an artisan, sustainability responsibilities and the multidisciplinary integration between science and art.
Many of her projects have evolved into innovative brands such as LFLECT, reflective wool products locally sourced and produced, ZIPPYKIT, designing smart materials educational toys, and ECOLORIUM an environmental brand that contributes to Skin Cancer Research.

The ECOLORIUM House is a British brand of luxury lifestyle products, recently awarded at Enjoia't Contemporary Jewellery Competition, and it is the third smart-materials brand developed by STUDIO LOST VALUES - The smart twist of sustainable design - Founded by Technology Artisan Elena Corchero.An Eco-Friendly lover will definitely love to wear the beautiful ALBEDONITE a cultivated stone with shades of white crystals and a subtle appearance of Rose Quartz. These stones have a very peculiar behaviour they reveal their colourful nature a bright buzzing fuchsia when exposed to UV rays. Wowcracy is an 'Avant Garde' Fashion Based Concept that visualizes in creating potential fashion talent by scouting them from around the globe and presenting them through their platform. Call The Tune is a project made by Wowcracy in collaboration with Vogue Talents.

Have been thrilled to be invited by Wowcracy for participating in Call The Tune Outfit Award Fall/Winter 2014-15 and equally excited to be invited to be a part of Wowcracy Endless Fashion Week !
After reviewing the work of over +300 Emerging Talented Fashion Designers from over 50+ countries,  Sara Maino, senior editor Vogue Italia and Vogue Talents, announced the Finalists for Call The Tune 2014.

The selection: Apollonius, Cristina Sabaiduc, Dioralop, Eugenia Alejos, Grace Atelier de Luxe, Cats Brothers (Lindsay McKean), Machambre by Juyeon, Rebirth Italy, Silvina Maestro, Yunjung Kim.

Silvina Maestro:

 

Silvina Maestro is a conceptual fashion artist from London, her work is an amalgamation of Fashion and Art. Having graduated with an honors degree in fashion design from Central Saint Martins she worked assisting designer Riccardo Tisci, Givenchy in Paris.
She has been selected as one of the finalists for the prestigious Fashion Fringe competition by John Galliano.Vogue Italia has recently listed Silvina as one of London’s emerging talents.

Her Collection 'Theorema' could relatively mean a Fashion Statement or like a Nature inspirational creation. Its simply astounding the silky texture and designs mesmerize me. It looks very modern, feminine and chic. I love the use of basic colours black, gold and white, looks very simple but futuristic designs. It's Art framed in Fashion.
